Research Interests
As a scholar-practitioner, I am committed to utilizing transdisciplinary, participatory, and adaptive research approaches to examine the human-environment relationship between humans and the environment, particularly within the realms of rural sociology and economics.
Research projects
My areas of focus center on investigating the interconnections between socioeconomic and ecological systems, with a specific emphasis on the sustainable management of natural resources, livelihoods strategies, food security, gender dynamics, technology adoption, and innovation systems in rural areas of Latin America.
I am particularly drawn to approaches such as the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus, Socio-ecological Systems (SES) methodologies, and the Sustainable Livelihood Framework.
